After near a month in a hospital and grueling weeks on a ventilator, distinguished Texas anti-mask “freedom” rally organizer Caleb Wallace died Saturday of COVID-19 problems.

The demise of the 30-year-old father of three younger daughters was first reported by his pregnant spouse, Jessica Wallace, on a GoFundMe web page she had arrange for donations to assist with medical and family payments.

“Caleb has peacefully passed on. He will forever live in our hearts and minds,” she wrote in an replace on the positioning.

Wallace, of San Angelo, had been on the native Shannon Medical Center since July 30. He had been unconscious, ventilated and closely sedated within the ICU there since Aug. 8, the San Angelo Standard-Times reported.

Earlier this week Jessica Wallace wrote on Facebook that her husband was not doing effectively. “It’s not looking in our favor,” she stated. The hospital had knowledgeable her that it was working “out of options for him,” and requested a couple of “do not resusitate” order, she added.

She added: “My heart just can’t. I can’t imagine my life without him.”

She emphasised that “whether he was a hardcore conservative or not, he was an amazing man.”

Wallace final 12 months organized two main protests towards what he referred to as the “COVID tyranny” of enterprise lockdowns, masks and vaccinations.

“I guarantee you that 2020 has been one of the worst years for America,” he stated at protest simply over a 12 months in the past organized by a bunch he had created, the “San Angelo Freedom Defenders.”
